What does it mean when you white blood?

White blood cells are an important and necessary part of your immune system. Produced in your bone marrow, they defend your body against infections and disease. But, when there are too many white blood cells, it usually means you have infection or inflammation in your body.
For men, a normal white blood cell count is anywhere between 5,000 and 10,000 white blood cells per μl of blood. For women, it is a reading of between 4,500 and 11,000 per μl, and for children between 5,000 and 10,000

White blood cells are also called leukocytes. They protect you against illness and disease. Think of white blood cells as your immunity cells. In a sense, they are always at war. They flow through your bloodstream to fight viruses, bacteria, and other foreign invaders that threaten your health.
